The classification scheme used across this estate for deciding what counts as coverage, and why the bar is intentionally high.

The working test applied here has four prongs: identifiable editorial control, meaningful depth beyond boilerplate, a credible publication context, and absence of first-party or undisclosed paid relationship. Fail any one prong and the item is classified as an announcement or syndicated placement.

The bar is deliberately high because the failure mode it guards against is subtle: an entity citing its own paid placements as third-party validation erodes exactly the trust it is trying to build. Transparent classification costs nothing and compounds over time.

The registry model, evidence status stated plainly on the press surface, gives journalists and researchers a fast, honest read. That utility, not volume, is the point of a press room.
